Gas engine and Diesel of same specs.Pull the same.

By my sig, i pull with a 2002 8.1.....Its specs are roughly 340HP and 455 lb ft of torque. If a guy were to opt for a 2000-2002 Cummins, approx the same specs, does a Diesel pull any easier. Just a th...

Yeah they pretty much pull the same as far as speed or acceleration. The gas engine will use more fuel in the process and it will turn higher rpm.

Any full throttle hill climb test with a heavy trailer between gas and diesel I have ever seen has always been within a couple of mph.
