Way back when diesel was 30 cents cheaper than gasoline, it was a real easy choice. I think we could all agree on that. A good diesel with proper maintenance will outlast most gas engines by more than 100k, can we agree on that? That being said, cost of diesel vs gas and diesel maintenance vs gas and also engine price differences, I think they come out about even in the long run, unless your gonna dump it fairly early. It just comes down to preference. I like the idea of being able to move my house off the foundation if I need to, I drive a diesel.
