I much prefer the older Gott gas jugs. They're short and squatty on the bottom - not tall and top heavy, so they don't fall over. I go to garage sales once or twice a year looking for them.
If the CARB approved ones are what I think they are, I think they're very dangerous. If they fall over, the spout breaks and leaks gas. They were selling these in all of the stores here for a while and everyone raised so much noise over them that they quit selling them. Find some of the Gott jugs, don't overfill them, and put them in the back of your truck. You'll be fine.
