Gas ford f250 vs Chevy Silverado 2500 towing.

I'm dealing with the same issue, the one thing that I keep finding that makes a difference is fuel economy. The "shootouts" with 3/4 ton trucks, ike gauntlets, and otherwise, it seems the Fords get better mileage towing 10k loads. I stay watching here for reports of similar comparasions that show otherwise, but havent seen one.
The GM's may pull uphill slightly faster, but the Fords seem more efficient when towing.
And my main area of choice was Ford vs Ram.
