My new '17 with a Cummins gets 17l/100km or 14mpg with the same tt. I do use cruise with it as it holds 6th all day.
If you want decent mileage should have spent the extra up front for a diesel. If you are afraid of a diesel or the extra cost up front then you will just need to live with lower fuel mileage.
Not looking to start a war, just the facts, because of the high torque of a diesel, it can pull the same load at a much lower rpm, lower rpm means better fuel mileage.
Gas will do fine just needs too spin faster to do it.
