Down sized my truck last year from a 3/4 ton 6L to a 1/2 ton 4.3 L. Gas mileage when towing averaged 9 mpg on the 3/4 ton and averages 12 mpg on the 1/2ton. Went from a 4400 GVW TT to a 5400 GVW TT.
When towing, I try to maintain 60 mph.
