I plan all my trips at 9mpg. Usually ill get 10-11mpg but I seem to always get that nasty head wind on the return trip lol... so it works itself out. Either way I stop every 180 miles for fuel so i dont dip below 1/4 tank(my truck is 26gallon capacity)
but like someone said already, the best way to save fuel is lift your foot off the pedal some. Its surprising how much a difference 5mph makes.
