I had a similar problem several years back. I actually went for quite a long time with no gas operation. I finally dug into the thing again and tested the fuses (2). Low and behold one of the fuses looked just fine however upon testing there was no continuity through the fuse. I replaced the 25 cent fuse and the fridge lit up immediately on LPG.
Moral of the story. Everything is not necessarily as it appears!

Fuses in 2-way Absorption Fridges (3A-5A)
*AC fuse for the AC electric heat element circuit
*DC fuse(s) for the DC circuit which includes propane system AND the fridge control circuit.
IF DC fuse not functioning (blown/bad contacts etc) then NO Fridge operation
No LP function is not due to a DC fuse issue. DC fuse issue means nothing works----no panel lights, no AC/LP---nothing
