It may be able to support it if it is shifting properly, but not if is banging into gear. An allison would fail behind a 6.0 if it is slamming into gear. Even the 4L80E will handle 500 lb ft of torque if if shifts properly. If the OP's truck is slamming in gear when towing then something is wrong with the tune in my opinion.Even though I am by far an expert.
