So often generalizations about "X" products are express based on an individuals experience. General Ameritrack tires came new on my Dodge Ram 3500. I was amazed to get 70,000 plus miles with absolutely no problems with any of them. I replaced them with another set of the same tires and now have just over 50,000 miles on them, again with no problems with any of them. My dealer states it is one of his best truck tires and has proven to be worry free except in a few cases that were owner related (under/over inflated, not rotating tires, different terrains, etc). Point being, just because you did not have good luck with General Ameritrack tires does not mean they are all bad, just as the person who has bad luck with Michelin, Cooper, HanKook, etc. I like dodge trucks and have had excellent service from Dodge. My neighbor likes Ford and thinks Dodge is junk. Opinions are just that, opinions. Without proof that a massive amount of a certain products fails prematurely, is not a good reason to bash that particular product. Good luck with your next tires.
