There are a lot worse gennys out there than the champion 3500. They are decently quiet and with the ac running, you might not even hear it inside the trailer but the folks outside will. By yourself, champion is great. In a campground I'd go inverter with their ultra low quiet idle. You don't need much power for a 5000 watt ac.
I use the Champ 3500 for home backup power. The model I have has a 240 volt output but is much more frugal on fuel than the other typically larger 240 volt sets.
Our trailer uses 12 volt for the LCD TV as well as the dvd/stereo. Why would you want a 120 volt TV in a trailer?
Just bought one of those Champions because our Yamaha 2400is wouldn't run the a/c. The Champion may be on the quieter side of the old fashioned "contractor" gennies, but is in no way quiet. Very easy to hear over the a/c running and very annoying if sitting outside while the coffee is brewing. I was actually surprised after reading so many reviews saying it wasn't too loud at how loud it really is.
