I have been using a single 100w solar panel for 3 years. I started with one 110 aH battery, and it fully recharged every day, even with indirect sun. That said, I am out west, where sun is much more reliable, and intense. I now have two batteries (not out of need, but I happened to get a second one, and installed it), and both fully charged daily when I have camped this winter.
I would suggest looking at
Windy Nation (odd name for a solar source) to get an idea of pricing. These are complete systems, and where I got mine.
Our electric use is apparently much less than most. I have all LED bulbs, but we use the heater when we want. I have camped in 10° nights, and have fully-recharged during the day, even in late December.
If you are not a light energy user, I would recommend two or three 100w panels. If you don't use AC, or energy-sucking appliances (not disparaging, just descriptive), I would think solar would be sufficient. We have never been low on power with ours.
I don't think you would get sufficient-output panels from CW, based on the previous post. It is not difficult to mount panels properly, or to run the wires. Even if you are not handy, you can hire someone who is, and they can do a good job, if they read this forum for solar installation guidance. They could even PM me, and I would be happy to guide.
You must decide how much power you will be using, to decide if you can enjoy your trips without a generator. We have never had one, and I don't see the need, for us. If we must use the AC, we will camp with hookups. That has not happened, yet.
