The original post asked about changing generators because of the noise level.
The plain truth is there is no such thing as a quite generator. There are only those that are less noisy.
Unless you camp were there are no people or where generators are not allowed, you are going to irritate some folks.
If you are in a wilderness setting where folk expect solitude and the sounds of nature, generator noise at any level can be annoying. If you are in the infield at a stock car race track or camped in a field at a rock concert, your generator noise will cause little concern.
