Generator Question

Proving yet again that there's more than one way to troll the forum.

Another reason. Why the 2000w generators are marketed to rv demo is their weight. As it is campers and trucks have payload concerns and heavy construction generators can't get removed from a truck solo. You lift the 2000w easily and bridge 2 units together to run an ac.

Well said, 2012Coleman. Lots of good information on here. You are being kind calling the other stuff "fluff". Answering unasked questions is only a small part of it.

Too bad we all have to put up with the fluff that always seems start blowing when some don't read the thread or jump to misguided assumptions/conclusions. I'm wondering why such off topic posts are not moderated out.

The generator in question will never be taken camping, and was never intended for camping. It powers stuff in my home during power outages. It will now power the AC in my TT while sitting in the driveway if needed. Re-read that to make it sink in.

Now don't you feel silly assuming something different? I've run the thing - do you think I don't know how loud it is? Are you assuming I'm deaf?

The noise police should learn when to keep quiet - :P

The noise police responded simply because it's a common issue. A ton of "genny" posts are "Hey, I don't have $1000 for a 65db Honda, will this $300 Harbor Freight one work just as well?"

A lot of folks, new to this, just don't understand how loud these things can be. The Noise Police don't bother me, I consider them just trying to help educate some folks who may not have an experience w/ generators.

I certainly didn't, up until a few years ago.


After noise, we can talk about pure sine waves. :B
