After lots of reading and lots of thinking, this is what makes the most sense for us right now...I think. Comments or suggestions are very much appreciated! Initially, add two 6V golf cart AGM batteries inside in one of the dinette seats (batteries stay warmer and allows for extra storage outside in the generator compartment), add a 1500-2000W inverter, run a larger charge cable to make sure we're getting a good charge from the alternator, install a very small microwave, change light bulbs to LED. Then, after seeing how that works out...add at least two solar panels and a solar controller. If we find that we really want to run the air conditioner, then we'll bring the portable generator (assuming that will be able to run the AC). Does that make sense?
