Generator
My wife and I like to dry camp while attending NASCAR at Talladega and Texas. We have a a 35' 50 amp Outback T.T. my question which portable generator do you recommend? Thank you for your replies.

Where do you plan to haul it ?
Do you plan to lift it in/out of the truck ?
Larger Gen = lots of weight for one item , one smaller generator can be easily lifted and be all you need if you do not plan to run the AC.
If you do plan use the AC, running 2 Honda 2000's with a parallel kit @46# each is a lot easier to move in/out of the truck. 4000 watts will run one AC at a time which you can probably get by with.
I would think you would be outside most of the time anyway and not need the AC running so much.
Anyway, i use 2 Honda 2000's , having the second genny came in handy when one went down this summer and I got by using only one Honda with the TT central fan on with no AC. At the same time, it gave us the use of 120V power to charge the batts which I would not have had if I had one larger generator go dead on me.
BTW, the Honda that stop running was 12 yrs old with about 3000 hrs. It only needs a new carb .
