Has anyone used a small wheel chair rack that has a ramp?

When its hot you need air conditioning hence 120 v power and that needs shore power or generator..same with Microwaves.Although some like it hot !!

I have a diesel Gen and carry it in the back of the truck. Works well and won't walk off. Everything in my TT will run 24 hr without the Generator anyway, even the furnace when it's cold.

Before I went through the trouble and expense to install my genset on the custom platform I considered lots of options.
1. I did not want to man Handle my genny.
Prior to the rear platform I carried my genset on a carrier in the front of the truck. Not ideal but it worked. However I had to load and unload genny each trip. Loading and unloading genset and front rack quickly became a hassle.
I also discovered I used my genset less because my usage was always planned never spontaneous.
My 4300 watt genset spent more time in the garage vs. at the camp site.
Lastly I wanted my rig to be ALWAYS self contained. Having the genset mounted on the rear platform allowed it to be always available to power the RV at a moments notice.
Once I purchased the genset. I had passed the saving a few bucks point.
Much like the RV in order to get maximum value out of the genset I needed to get maximum use of the genset.
Mounting the genset on the rear platform solved a lot of issue.
No manhandling, loading and unloading were eliminated.
Using the genset spontaneously was a simple task. Stopping for lunch with A/C and microwave was easy.
My genset usage increased. My manhandling decreased.
My RV was self contained at all times . Water and electric were always available.
It was a win win with no regrets.
Once I thought it through mounting the genset resolved all issues

Venturi effect.

The genturi effect is used in many applications and really is pretty foolproof. It's used in the navy in various forms.

If your looking for data and statistics to support my claim. I don't have it.
If I tell you the water is safe to drink and show you that the entire city is using the water without issue for years. You will still be skeptical.
My point is If you use a Genturi as it was designed and set it up according to the instructions you will not have any CO issues. You can take that statement at face value or you can throw in a lot of what ifs that involve operator error.
Nothing ever built is immune from operator error however the Genturi is a worthwhile device that works as designed and will not fail as long as it is set up correctly.
I'm not sure what sphere you are in, but this is a post in an RV forum. I'm not making a claim at a regulatory agency or testifying in front of the consumer product commission. I am merely and end user who can verify the Genturi works as designed.

Wow, I'm just flabbergasted that anyone would believe ANY device that emanates CO is or could be completely safe or foolproof! Rally and race organizers have disclaimers on their tickets for a reason. Not to mention every manufacturer has disclaimers on their products, specifically to protect themselves from uninformed consumers who believe their products are capable of doing things they're not.

This whole mentality of believing otherwise is why lawyers have a thriving business. Regardless, I've never seen the legal system render CO harmless before or after the fact. Me, I'd rather use some common sense rather than count on the legal system to protect me from myself.

Slow down there are plenty of devices that produce CO that are safe.
Lets start will all the combustion furnaces that are burning in houses all over the US. I trust them to be safe when in proper working.
Yes I know residential furnaces are not 100% foolproof and can malfunction like anything else but properly ducted they are very safe..
In most CO poisonings there is an element of operator error vs. the device was simply unsafe.
Since I'm the operator I will generally trust myself to use the device safely and as designed. We will never eliminate operator error. You cannot regulate stupidity, but that does not have to mean a device is unsafe.
I have witnessed a few CO mishaps that I alluded to. I am aware of CO risk. But I also know the steps required to prevent CO issues.
The sky is not falling, I have no fear of using my genset with a genturi. CO is a known danger that can be managed with the proper equipment. There is no need to fear it or treat it like the boogeyman. Take the precautions required and use the equipment as designed and things can be very foolproof.
Keeping man from being foolish is the bigger issue vs. designing a product that is safe.

You're failed to address your claim that the Genturi is completely safe and foolproof. You claim it has to be because the race organizer and manufacturer would be liable if it wasn't---so it must be. Well, I rebutted that premise, but you went on a tangent rather than address it.

Not a biggy, I think we can still forge ahead. So, in summary, in this latest post you're more or less saying: any CO device (to include the Genturi) is completely safe and foolproof as long as the operator is completely safe and not a fool. I sincerely hope you see the dichotomy here.

Claims like this might go over well in a casual discussion over a couple of beers. However, when someone in my sphere starts making claims of "completely safe and foolproof", they place themselves in a very precarious position. It would be taken literally. Unfortunately, there's very little, if anything, that can withstand that kind of claim. All it takes is one unsafe, fool . . .
