$500 plus and it's only good in sunlite and the batteries have to be replaced every few years is why I don't have solar. For $500 you can get a quiet gen set...Not knocking solar but where I camp it's worthless, the gen isn't.
The AC isn't the only thing we use a gen for, there's the toaster/microwave/hair dryer and coffee maker all of which draw a lot of ac power for solar use.
Strictly old school here, original 12 volt #27 batteries/bulbs and a good charger when they run low. Only cost is gas to run the gen once in a while to keep things topped off.
Bottom line for us is a generator works for camping and at home when the power goes out or goes with us to charge boat batteries used for trolling or a compressor to air up flat tires. A generators use goes far beyond camping for us.
