Plugging your RV/TC shore cord into your Honda powers your converter and battery charger at min as it's where the shore cord wires go directly to first. The convertor is a parasite and will draw between 250 and 500 watts normally and then you will not have enough watts left to start or run your 13,500 A/C. That's why you must bypass the convertor with the 2000 watt Honda or a Yamaha etc so ONLY the A/C is being powered by the genny. It's not rocket science!
Yes, the power output from the generator lessens with altitude by approx 3% per 1000 feet up as it's a normally aspirated carburetor fuel system. Not much of the land in the USA or many (%) of CG's in the USA are at 5,000 feet + altitude. We know that our EU2000 Honda will start and run at 5,000 feet when bypassing the convertor. Will NOT start it at 5,000 feet powering the convertor.
Please don't make foolish comments or contradictions until you actually try it as stated in my posts.
