1 week ago I was camping near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I'm also booked this summer for Bryce National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Pine Valley Mountain. All within 2-3 hours of home, and all above 7,000' elevation. When it's 105 degrees at 2,300' elevation, the altitude is essential to enjoy camping (and likely avoid the need for A/C).
Next weekend I'm installing the high altitude jet in my Honda so I'm setup properly for my boondocking needs.
