Generators

I'm thinking of purchasing a generator. Attempting to decide between a Honda EU2000 x 2 or Yamaha EF200is x 2. My rig is a 29" TT and want to be able to run the AC and microwave at the same time. Can anyone help in the decision making?
  • The microwave alone will use 1200 to 1500 watts - the Honda 2000 only puts out 1600 watts or 2000 watts for a short surge. That doesn't leave much room the AC........

  • Honda generators are well known for being very quiet. Don't know about the Yamahas. I used two of the Honda 2000's on my last vacation. I was impressed.
  • if liftig is an issue with you, the two 2000's will have to do. if you have help get the large one. but I vote for the two little ones.
  • Why not a single, larger generator? I picked up a Honda EU3000ic...runs everything and it's light enough I can carry it around myself (or, more importantly, by wife and 9 year old when I am not around).
  • A 2000 will run the microwave but it will not run the A/C. You need a bigger generator to run the A/C and the nuker
  • Take no offense.... Your question has been asked/answered here well over a dozen times. It's been beaten to death.
