We've had both. Equipped the same, the MSRP is identical or with a few dollars.
GMC for several years hasn't had the "work truck" base vehicle like chevy, and until a few years ago Chevy didn't have a "Denali" level, but now Chevy has the "high country" which is basically the same as the Denali feature wise.
IMHO, pick whichever one suites your fancy. When we bought our 04.5, we picked the silverado because we liked the looks better. When we bought our 2015, liked the GMC Denali looks and color choices. Between the two you will find some color combo's that aren't overlapping. The 2015 High country interior color wasn't to our liking, and didn't have the same color choices as the Denali. There are trim differences, mostly for looks. And often GMC colors will have different names than Chevy but be exactly the same color with the same color code.
So look at both of them and decide which one you like the best for looks, interior, etc. because function wise equiv trim levels will be identical.
