My ex brother-in-law learned his lesson trying to tow a big boat with a mid-90's 'Burb. He didn't get further than 30 miles before he burned up the tranny. So when I bought my 1999 'Burb in 2004, I opted for a K2500 with a 7.4L engine. Great towing machine for our TT.
A couple of months ago I retired the 'Burb at 227K miles. Bought the truck in my sig and am happy with it.
