- billtexExplorer IIThe OP did (wisely) express weight concerns.
Several posts here, the Lance Forum, and NATCOA of 855S actual weights in excess of 4000#.
This would seem reasonable and in line with other similar SB single slide campers. - SugarHillCTDExplorer

Those EC campers are really heavy, Lance 855 2410lbs with slide 2650lbs, EC 850 3117lbs
No way is my 855s less than 3000# dry.
I think that Lance is the leader in understating weight. - 805greggExplorerThose EC campers are really heavy, Lance 855 2410lbs with slide 2650lbs, EC 850 3117lbs

"Jack",
Have you looked into the Eagle Cap 850?
I have an 855S and if I was doing it all over again, I would have an EC.
Nothing wrong with my Lance but if you compare bathroom layout and general storage space- IMHO the Eagle Cap is the winner by far. The 855S really lacks storage space
Get in touch with billtex here on this forum. He was going to buy an 855S but really liked and bought an Eagle Cap 850 instead.
There are several at the Truck Camper Warehouse in southern N.H.

yep...PM me if you want to talk in-depth about our experience.
Bill - Gary3ExplorerWe ordered our 1191 Lance without the Heki and had a fantasticfan in its place I had the dealer call ahead of time and they said sure.We had the camper in about 5 weeks from ordering it.
- Capt_EddieExplorerThose sky lights are just a thing to break and need to be replaced. I would never get them again. Look at the livin lite. I like the all aluminum construction.
- gregchambersExplorerI agree with Sugarhill that the bathroom and storage is nicer in the Eaglecap, especially the pull out basement drawer that lance is missing completely. However, some things to consider; L 855s has dual level heater option, is 3" taller inside which for me at 6'-5" is important but that also makes the bed area less claustrophobic. Also the optional 9200 AC will run on a 2000 generator. L along with many truck camper manufacturers use fuzzy math when they come up with dry weights where as E does weigh theirs but comparing listed dry weights, E appear to weight over 400 lbs more than L before options are added. Just some things to consider!

John - lincolnmatthewsExplorerDidn't get the 855s but took delivery a couple of wks ago on a 2015 1050s. Very satisfied overall, everything worked rite out of the chute. Like what they've done for the interior colors, paneling & kitchen couter, etc. I think a very 1st class TC IMO. And was priced less than the competition, at least in my area. Good Luck!
