We used to enjoy going to the many Forest Service campgrounds in our area for a nice quiet relaxing getaway from the hustle bustle of the work week. But that has all changed. While we prefer the quiet environment, many campers nowadays prefer to bring all the generator needed "essentials" and definitely are not there for the solitude. And the majority of the generator users here on this forum have told me to go somewhere else if I want any peace and quiet.
Well that's what we ended up doing. We bought some property in Oregon, with a nice view of the ocean, and quietly camp there a few times a year.
Campgrounds have changed - for the worse. Everybody does what ever they want, without any consideration of others. Too bad.
