GFCI won't reset

Last night my wife was using the blow dryer plugged into the GFCI in the bathroom as she heated tea in the microwave. We think the GFCI has blown as it will not reset and most all outlets are down in the 2010 Keystone Outback.

We do not have any blown fuses or any tripped breakers.

The ground is very wet and doesnt look like we will be abke to get it out to the shop for several weeks or more.

Ideas and problem solving?

  • Either something like the fridge or outside outlet (wet) is attached to it and tripping it or it has failed - a common occurrence in RV's.

The GFCI is a standard part and can be replaced with one from Home Depot.
I would disconnect the "load" wires from it. If it still fails, it's toast.
  • GCFI needs AC power to reset.......

Check the AC Power Panel Individual CBs
Turn the ones for Convenience/Receptacles/Outlets OFF
Then back on resetting the CBs
