You never know what your needs will be when you decide to full time. If the decision was mine to make, I would hold on to the current truck until I actually go fulltiming. The engine already has a poor reputation and its value is pretty low anyways, so you aren't going to see its value drop much more over a couple more years.
You can find the RV that you want and buy the truck that you need at the time. Also, hopefully by that time the bugs will be worked out of the current diesel technology (water in fuel issues specifically). Its hard to know what RV's will be available to you in the future and hard to prepare for that now.
