The thing you have to really watch is getting them too loose. profdant139 did that and they came out too fast. I would be reluctant to lubricate them because you might not to be as able to control the speed of deployment as easily as dry. I would imagine that for your snowbird trip you will be leaving them down for 2.5 months.
