To OP, I have had 5.3l trucks and my brother has the 6.2. 6.2 hands down for towing anything over 5-6k lb. I hear the direct inject version in the new trucks gets pretty good mileage nearly on par with the 5.3.
I actually Googled "2015 Silverado 5.7L", before I made that post, and a lot of dealer******came up that I didn't bother to open. Shows how much they know about what they sell. That is probably why I bought a 5.7 Hemi in '06 and then a Cummins in'12.
