Another problem people complain about is 'piston slap'. I had that loud tapping noise coming from my engine (especially at idle). It turned out to be a clogged air conditioner hose which eventually exploded. It costed me 1700 dollars for a new ac system. If you hear that loud ticking noise which sounds like valves ticking, check your a/c system first.
