It was a little rude but your statement is entirely incorrect and disappointing to read. The entire weight of the trailer would only be put on the hitch only if the hitch was somehow holding the trailer up in the air. I am very confident that if the trailer was up in the air the force of gravity brought it back down very rapidly with the trailer coupler freely rotating around the trailer ball. The fact that the trailer did return to earth is evidence that the weight was not being supported by the hitch. The only force on the hitch was the force required to make the trailer rotate as opposed to staying in its original orientation for the duration of the flight. The sudden stop when the trailer regained contact with Earth might have created an impact load on the hitch but it would have been somewhat negated by the rotational inertia of the trailer.
