Next time I'm in for service I'll mention that bulletin; however, I have read feedback from dozens of people and they all pretty much report the same problem and lack of resolution from GM.

Careful with this. GM may void your warranty by using an aftermarket ecm programer. If you take it to dealer, make sure you return programming to stock first.
That's the nice thing, it does not program the ECM, it only 'interacts' with it. Once unplugged there is no sign of use.
