I thought the 6.0 started out as a true truck engine in 1999, I'm sure other versions have been created with aluminum blocks, I could be wrong though. They can improve the current 6.0 for trucks and boost power once more with adding direct injection and some other mods. I think that's what GM will do, the 350 was around from 69-2000 plus... So I can see the 6.0 getting some upgrades and still staying the the HD lineup. It seems to be the engine that has been proven over and over again... Glad I got one.
