Is there any place stated in the Manual, that GM is not responsible for content or context of the manual or that changes can be made to it without repercussion ? Their technical writing, proofing & printing is probably outsourced to another country.
I have a problem with that. I've been in the printing industry for 30 + years. That is not a misprint !!! It is a proofing error made by a GM employee or sub contractor and IMO, the responsibility of GM to make good on a claim that has since been disproved or recognized as incorrect.
The simple misspelling of a word is one thing, this is not that.
My point exactly... Errors and Omissions Insurance on GM's part should pay to make the small handful of affected owners happy.
