How did the insurance companies find out about the towing rating of the truck? Does your insurance company track the engine/transmission/gear ratios of every truck they insure? Your trailer weight is well within three quarter ton truck territory and was from the beginning. 3.08 ratios are almost never considerd a good towing ratio for gas engines. Learning that 3.08 ratios in a gas engine are not really that good for towing is about as much a revelation as learning that water is wet. Unfortunately the misprint led you to believe that it was a capable truck for the job. And you towed with it. And all was well. Now, because of a misprint the truck won't work for you?
