GMC Canyon & 30' Airstream
I know a mid size isn't for everybody but it looks like they could work for some. Tow Test I read on a Colorado forum that an integrated trailer brake controller will be available in 2016.

I agree. They found a trailer that was close to the max towing weight of the Canyon without having to add additional weight to it. If you look at TFLs video with the Canyon towing up to Eisenhower Tunnel and back down they had no issues with braking or controlling the trailer.
I don't see anything wrong with the engine turning 3000k RPM while towing, thats where it makes it's power.
