Mowin, I think we are gonna go to Jellystone in north Hudson. we got a few nights free last summer with my new camper from alpin haus, we enjoyed it so much that we spent like 6 weekends up there in jellystone.. I got tired real fast trailering from my town in fulton county though. so that is why im looking seasonal this year.. I hated leaving work Friday evening only to pull the camper, set it up and then break it all down sunday morning. I like jellystone for my 6 yo daughter..she had a blast.. its alittle expensive at $3000.00.. but most other places I see are around 2000-2200 and I never ever went to the other places.. I know what jellystone is like and rather pay alittle bit more for what I know then for the unknown. I was gonna look at alpine lake also, but I hear they are just as much as jellystone and I like going a weee bit further(keeps out unwanted guest...LOL)... but how is alpine lake anyways? is It nice for kids? thanks
Never been to jellystone. Alpine is the about same price as jellystone unless u go for lake side or premium sites then they go up quick. Its very kid friendly with lots of activities every weekend for little ones and adults. They also have a Dj every weekend. I hear ya on unwanted guests..lol. I wanted to be around 1 1/ 2 hrs from home. Far enough to "get away", but close enough that it wasnt to far of a drive.
