Westend, with my limited access to the cart and only those opportunities to charge it, is there a different way to do it? Other than trickle charge, solar or anything like that while I'm gone. It's in storage so neither is an option. I sincerely appreciate everyone's feedback.
A lot depends on how the cart is used and what the total draw is between uses. Also, what initial state of charge is when the cart goes out for use.
When I worked on them at golf courses, the best regimen was to put them all on chargers except when in use. That delivered the best longevity. If you have a battery set that is at 80% SOC, you use it, you charge them overnight, and go out for a round of golf, and leave it parked at 80%, you'll diminish the longevity by about 1/3.
A small solar module as a trickle charger might prove to be a good thing to use.
