Maybe it is a conspiracy by Ford being that Shell is now a subsidiary of Motiva, formerly Texaco, while is wholly owned by Aramco, the Saudi's.
Shell is a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell. Ford Motorcraft oil is produced by Cononoco Phillips.
I hear you but the Greater Orange Business Journal, August addition, quotes the GM of the Port Arthur Refinery, Motiva's and the U.S. largest, as saying: "Although Shell doesn't own us anymore, Motiva still retained the Shell brand," he said. "All of (Motiva) Port Arthur's gasoline and diesel fuel is sold under the Shell brand in the Gulf Coast and the Eastern seaboard...but in addition to that we now have the 76 brand...
Hard to understand and remember how integrated businesses has become.
I thought Shell was divesting it's interest with Motiva... The problem is there's so many underlying interest it's hard to tell if some company's are coming or going.
Divestiture that you are speaking of may be the spin off of Shell to Motiva? Hard to keep up with is right. This article is the first I have seen that said Texaco no longer has interest in Motiva. Says Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco. Motiva is considering 18 billion dollars in upgrading their refineries.
Hopefully the link will work. See article beginning on page 28.
