Good Deal or Walk? 2007 GMC 3500 dually

While I've been looking at Ram 2500/3500, a different truck hit my radar. 2007 GMC Sierra Classic SLE dually, 6.6L Duramax and Allison 4spd auto. CarFax one owner truck, with 276K miles. No open recalls/no accidents reported. Dealer asking $17999.

What should I be looking for with this truck? It appears to have been very well maintained cosmetically, and it's almost identical on the interior to my 2003 Tahoe LT.

You Duramax/Allison guys -- what say you?
  • Thanks for the feedback. While I was hopefully optimistic, the realist in me said it was too much.

So, what are things to look for specifically with the Duramax/Allison combination?
  • I would not consider that vehicle. As already posted, most of that vehicle is reaching end of life.

Agree... I would not even think of paying 18k for anything with 276,000 miles on it
