Well as you can see most on this forum do not recommend it. But for the record I use a gooseneck adapter for my 12,000# FW. I've had this one for 3 years and tow it around 6,000 miles a year. This includes getting into and out of some pretty off-road places (Horse Show grounds). I routinely inspect my hitch and frame and have no indication of any damage at all at this point.
