Got a truck - got the camper & now to outfit the thing
We pick up a brand new Capri Sportsman Grande in 10-days or so, to put in our 1990 Chevy 1/2 ton. We decided just the basics (camping is camping after all): 30 gal fresh water, 3-way refrig, & 2-burner stove; we added ceder lining as our extravagance.
I'm now trying to think of all the basic safety & repair outfitting stuff that stays with the truck & camper. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
(* means I bought this item due to various rv.net forum comments)
* Happijac tie down & turnbuckles
* truck bed mats (3x3 black rubber mats from Home Depot)
* Lynx leveling blocks (pk of 10 w/case)
- level (2' and 9" magnetic)
* Safety step (yellow & ex Lg)
- tire gauge
* hydrometer (bulb type)
* Ammeter (AC-DC)
- jumper cables (4-gauge)
* Tow strap (without buckle)
* rope
- eTool (folding)
- complete socket, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, aviation scissors
- leatherman
- duct tape
- electrical tape & small 14-gauge wire spool
- thin safety gloves
- glow sticks
* first aid kit
* CO2 monitor
- flashlights & batteries
- handgun & knife
After a few trips, we'll decide on batteries & converter (thinking 2-6v), a heater (thinking blue flame to same the dog's tail), and other odds & ends.
