Personally I will never own a 2wd truck. Its so nice to have 4wd and not need it, than to not have it and really need it.
I had a situation last year where I had to pull forward so close to a tree that my front bumper was almost touching it. When I went to back up into the site the small incline plus loose gravel left me stuck against the tree. Turned the switch to 4 low and backed right in. It hadn't rained in a month, everything was dry and in no way did I expect to use 4wd but it sure was nice having it.
