Got stuck.....

I pulled my FIL's TT home from a local campground. Backed the rig up to the trailers normal spot, unhitched, put the truck in drive and proceeded to sink in mud up to the rim :/...it was flat grass. Well anyhow.

Called my friend who has a 4x4 dually Ford and his wife pulled me out of the mud as he looked on.

She quickly reminded me that I got pulled out of the mud by a girl.

I will never live this down. Lol

Anyhow, looks like over the last 4 days I have discovered diesel power and the merits of 4x4. Lol

So the age old question asking if a 2wd dually can get stuck in the yard on wet grass is.... Yes it can...

  • I understand why some don't, but I will never buy a truck without 4WD.

Funny though how at least 80% of trucks on lots today are 4X4, and 30 years ago it was the other way around. For many, it's an image thing, but I do use mine.
  • Lol....yeh it happens. I am sure this thread will turn in to another 2 wheel drive vs. 4 wheel drive thread but 4 wheel drive is certainly nice when you need it. I boondock and need it often.

Was the Ford truck that pulled you out, "a girl," or just the person driving it??...:)

Anyway, I agree with you about having 4 WD. We have needed to used it many times while camping and elsewhere.
  • I would suggest having no contact with friend or his wife, for a couple of weeks!

Then just go back to being friends, and pretend that the girl pullout never happened.

  • Not having either, I'd never asked that particular "age old question." And no, you never will live it down. Just be glad you AND the TT didn't get stuck in the mud together.
