Having no idea ,but have read somewhere that driveline does not turn unless its shifted to 4 wheel dr. I would have to believe that some hardly ever use four wheel dr. Getting greased every six months or 15k on these newer trucks might not be a big deal.
There seems to be a lot of talk on other forums about this. It could be critical.
