I had lots of wear on the ball when we had the 2004 Pioneer. And yes there is actually LOTs of movement back there. The coupler turns on the ball every time you turn a corner, everytime you go around even a slight bend in the road. Every time you back into a campsite. What would make you think it just sits still?
