A tube might be a little too much, but around 2/3's of a tube would not surprise me at all and why I no longer recommend using the grease gun/zerk method when that is an option. Hand packing IMO is much better.

Seems to me that the diameter of the bearing and the diameter of a regular grease tube are about the same. The distance between the inner and outer bearing is a couple or 3 inches. The length of a grease cartridge is 10 or 12". It would seem to me that one tube would be able to completely fill the void of 3 or 4 bearings... especially because the bearings aren't hollow.
Then again, I hand pack my bearings because I am afraid of putting too much grease and greasing my brake shoes.
