I had the same thing happen after a honey wagon dragging owner dumped my tanks. I kept smelling sewer and when I went out to look there was sewage leaking.
BUT
It was NOT his fault.
Your valve assembly is attached to a square molding with four screws.
When we went to replace it the tabs cracked right off!! We did have to cut into the line and replace the whole assembly but it sure was a lot less costly than replacing the tank.
Repair guy says he sees all lot these stress cracks. The whole sewer assembly is just hanging there and takes a lot of punch back and forth while driving.
I serious doubt that your 'tank' itself is cracked'.

Check The tabs that stick out with screws.
Mine had ever small stress cracks around the where the screws attach.When we went to replace it the tabs cracked right off!! We did have to cut into the line and replace the whole assembly but it sure was a lot less costly than replacing the tank.
