Guidance on tow vehicle

It's your money so do what want with it. You can surely do well with a gas 3/4 ton vehicle and save your self some money. If going used just remember that the newer 3/4 ton trucks have higher ratings than the older ones do so check that years specs. The Chevy 8.1 Allison 4.10 is capable gasser for sure, I've had one for the last 10 1/2 years pulling 5-8k trailers. The gas mileage is very poor though even empty. The truck sat a lot especially when the cost of gas was high so it only had 40k on it when it was traded in. Blue book retail on the truck was only $13.5k even with the low miles.
