The problem with organized campgrounds is, well, people. Some will be considerate, others not so and then others down right selfish where they're the only people in the world that matter. OP, I get your frustration and 100% agree with you but realize you're in a society so try not to get frustrated with societal problems as your time gets ruined. The main problem is the selfish, bad people who ruin it for everyone. Best thing to do is just remove yourself from the situation and get away from everyone. Then if you have a noisy neighbor, it is most likely wildlife, which is sanctuary found.
To be honest, I have a generator, it is an inverter gen so it is quieter but I HATE running the thing because of the noise. I only run it when boondocking if I have no other choice because my batteries didn't charge well enough from my solar setup. But again, I'm boondocking away from people as I understand I'm not the only person on this earth and respect other's for their wants of a peaceful time as well. I'd much rather listen to running water in a river, blowing wind through the trees, elk bugling or any other nature sounds than the clanging of a generator.
